Homeworks.ca is operated by Sphere Media Inc. This notice explains how we handle service requests, website information and optional analytics.

Information you provide

When you send a request, we collect the property or service address, any postal code, job details, timing and contact information you provide, together with your referral consent. The request may include the source page, referring site and campaign information. Please do not submit passwords, payment details or sensitive information unrelated to the job.

Use and provider introductions

We use your request to review the scope, check potential coverage, respond, prevent duplicate or abusive submissions and manage the referral process. Where you agree to an introduction, we may share your request with up to three suitable independent service providers so they can contact you about this work, including later introductions if an earlier provider does not arrange it. To withdraw permission for further introductions, email info@spheremedia.com. Withdrawal stops future sharing; it cannot undo details already disclosed. Providers set their own prices and terms and perform work independently of Sphere Media Inc. Sending a request does not subscribe you to promotional messages or guarantee availability.

Professional applications and paid introductions

Professionals may pay us for access to a service opportunity. We may offer a summary of the job to several eligible providers without your contact details or exact address. Providers may pay to unlock an introduction. With your consent, we may sell and disclose your request and contact details to up to three suitable providers in total, including later introductions; this is not an exclusive introduction. Providers may use these details to respond to this job, not to resell your information or send unrelated marketing. Requests collected under older consent remain subject to those original limits unless you expressly agree to expanded sharing. We do not publish homeowner contact details in public job listings. Professional applications are collected centrally on Homeworks.ca by Sphere Media Inc.; we use business contact details, selected services, base city/postal area, travel ranges, area exclusions, availability, job preferences and indicative weekly lead budgets to review fit and respond about the application. Budget preferences do not fund an account or authorise purchases. Applications are stored privately on our hosting infrastructure and are not a subscription to unrelated marketing.

Service outcomes

Our authorised team may record contact attempts, conversations, quotes, bookings, completed and paid work, repeat work and related job amounts or direct costs reported by a provider or homeowner. We use these records to measure service-request outcomes and the value of introductions. Outcome records are kept privately with their reporting source and update history; they are not sent to Google Analytics.

Google Analytics and your choice

Google Analytics loads only after you choose “Allow analytics.” It measures page visits, enquiry starts and requests confirmed as received by our server. We send predefined page paths without query strings or URL fragments; referring addresses are reduced to the referring site’s origin. We do not send your name, email, address, phone number, request contents or lead reference to Google Analytics. Google receives browser and device information and other technical information required to provide analytics, and uses first-party cookies to distinguish visits.

Our Google integration disables Google signals and advertising personalization and uses a renewable 90-day cookie lifetime. Your analytics choice is saved in local storage until you change it or clear browser storage. Use “Analytics settings” to change your choice. Declining stops our Google collection and removes this integration’s first-party Analytics cookies. It does not delete information Google already received.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control prevent our Google Analytics integration from loading. You can also disable analytics for this browser tab’s session; that preference uses session storage. Declining analytics does not prevent you from browsing or sending a request. See Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from partner sites.

Hosting, storage and other providers

The public site is hosted on Vercel. Requests submitted through that deployment are stored in private Vercel Blob storage where configured. Any separately hosted ChatGPT Sites version uses Cloudflare infrastructure and its configured lead database. These providers may receive technical information such as IP addresses to deliver, secure and operate the service. Information may be processed outside your province or country. External websites have their own privacy practices.

Retention, security and requests

We retain request information for the review, referral, follow-up and recordkeeping purposes for which it is needed, subject to applicable requirements. Analytics information is handled under the Google account’s retention settings. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion, ask about retention, or withdraw consent where applicable. Some records may need to be retained to meet legal or operational requirements. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We use safeguards appropriate to the information; no online system is guaranteed completely secure.
